Vestibular Program
Vestibular rehabilitation is for individuals with impairments or disabilities due to diseases, disorders, or trauma to the vestibular system (the semicircular canal system and the otoliths). Vestibular rehabilitation programs can often improve functional capacity, reduce symptoms, and improve the well-being of the patient.
Conditions treatable under vestibular rehabilitation may include but are not limited to the following conditions:
- Vertigo (Dizziness)
- Poor balance
A vestibular rehabilitation program is designed to address balance, dizziness, and overall fitness of the patient. Patient education is also stressed to facilitate patient understanding of what we are trying to accomplish with their individualized rehabilitation program through informational handouts and in-clinic education.
